Wolmer. “Why the name Wolmer? It’s not even IN Wolmer.” Well, there are many myths surrounding the colloquial name given to musicians in the northern part of Pretoria, though only one fact holds true: We’ve been gooi’ing parties, making music, and recording bands in Pretoria (and afar) since ’95 (okay so it’s 3 facts, whatever). We’ve always focussed on creating a platform for artists to showcase themselves as well as facilitating independent bands to grow into some of the powerhouses you know today.

Most of the bands on the bill were hand-picked for their hard work on the live-music circuit in South Africa and have a good, long-standing relationship with Wolmer be it on stage or in studio. Or in a bar. Who knows? All we know is we like to party, and so do you. If you are an outgoing Pretorianer that’s into live-music (we all know P-town has the highest number of gig-junkies), then you are well familiar with the following acts.

CAMPING:

Camping space is allotted by a first come – first served basis, but don’t worry, there should be more than enough space for all the campers. Unfortunately there are no cars allowed in the camping area (to accommodate more tents) but the campers will have their own secure parking lot, wheelbarrows, and people to help you transfer your stuff. We recommend bringing the following to make your stay more comfortable: Tent, sleeping bag, mattress, clothes for hot days, clothes for cold nights, wet wipes, snacks, liver pills, aspirin, vitamins, toilet paper, towel, toiletries, plenty of water, food and optionally, the means to cook it. Camping chairs and a gazebo between friends and their tents is always a bonus.
