Urban city centre gets coastal
Juta Street in the capital of cool kid-ville Braamfontein will be transformed into a beach when Superbalist In The City presents the Virgin Mobile Braam Beach Party on Saturday 8 October 2016. So get out your sundresses and beach shorts for what promises to be a memorable night of fun, sun and good music.
For the first time ever, Superbalist In The City is expanding the festival to a three-day weekend takeover, starting with Superbalist In The City AND Liftoff at AND Club in Newtown on Friday 7 October and concluding with the Superbalist In The City Concert at Emmarentia Dam on Sunday 9 October featuring international acts Foster the People, Mac Miller and Beardyman.
Superbalist announced a crazy lineup at an exclusive launch party at Great Dane in Braam on 7 July that includes an eclectic mix of heavy-hitters like award-winning hip hop icon AKA and Afrotainment head DJ Tira to newcomers like Shekhinah of Back To The Beach fame and Boyz N Buck$ member Stilo Magolide who’s steadily forming his own solo career. The heavy party, packed from door to door was a small taste of the insanely fresh main event to come on Saturday 8 October 2016.
