It’s been 3 years since the release of Petite Noir’s debut full-length, La Vie Est Belle, on the renowned indie; Domino Records. We haven’t had much in the form of new music since then besides for a feature on Danny Brown’s Atrocity Exhibition which was the result of a Twitter exchange.

The noirwave prince has spent the time evolving and “Blame Fire” presents the first harvest of change. “Blame Fire” is the first release from Petite Noir’s forthcoming album titled, La Maison Noir / The Black House. The mini-album which features Saul Williams, Danny Brown, and Petite Noirs’ partner in love and art, Rha! Rha!, will be released by Warp Records sub-label, Roya, on the 5th of October.

Petite Noir says of “Blame Fire”:

“The track is a personal journey into my life and experiences. This is the first time in my career that I have ever been this honest with my art/music. Being an immigrant and being forced to mobilise has taught me how to navigate this current reality using the gifts that I have been given to me. To turn my unique experience of exile into something bigger than myself.”
