Prize comes with their new album Head Carrier

Nostalgia fuels the energy in the Pixies’ newest album Head Carrier. Contributing their 90’s influence of college rock and garage gruel indie anthems, the 2016 album is set to get you into the groove for the welcoming of their gigs in South Africa this year. Frontman Frank Black told the BBC Radio 6 Music that the new album has a bit of early-Pixies slosh in it – a giddy sense of anticipation for all early fans. There’s been a slight shift in the members of the original band whereby the bassist Kim Deal left and has been replaced with Paz Lenchantin. Adding his own personality to the tracks, it will be an exciting addition to see what their live set sounds like so far into their career.

Gallo Record Company is giving one lucky fan the chance to win a Pixies hamper with the brand new album Head Carrier and two general admission tickets to Rock on the Lawns at Carnival City on 18 March. All you have to do is name one of the tracks from the new Pixies album.
