Watch Muzi’s steamy video for “Sweat”

A Technicolour Workout

Last month, electro-wizard, Muzi had one of his tracks featured in an Apple Watch advert. “Dark Matter” was released shortly after the Apple Ad for a thump to the start of one of the most slept on electro producers in South Africa.

“Khululekha” off his debut album, Boom Shaka, was featured in The Fuss List for 2016 and while Muzi has already released new music, there is still tons of mileage in his sterling debut.

Enter the music video for “Sweat”.

The straightforward visual features two performers literally sweating body paint from dancing. The two performers, Joy Ritter and Thea Carla Schøtt, use their bodies and the floor as a canvas. Taking sonic cues from the tribal rhythms and pulsating beats off the track, they use their bodies like a paint brush to stroke the canvas.

Muzi directed the video in collaboration with Stephan Hambsch who was also the director of photography. Watch the music video for “Sweat” below.
