Watch Al Bairre’s latest music video “Bungalow”

Al Bairre recently released their first music video since last year for their single “Bungalows”. Directed by Daniel Morcos the video is set in an empty gymnasium where the band are performing. The video stars three groups of athletes: Bulky guys who could easily knock your lights out, karate students in all white with deathly black belts and petite, gymnastics girls, who pop in-and-out scenes throughout the video.Nic Preen (singer) learns karate and has a few attempts in battle , The Twins are surrounded by muscular men and Kyle Davis ( guitarist) stands awkwardly, yet with perfect hair, amongst the gymnasts.

The set was kept simple with all the characters being the focus, rather than the background. In comparison to Al Bairre’s earlier music videos, this one is by far the most professionally produced, while their others looked more home-made (nothing wrong with that either). Whats right with it is the weird grouping of people and activities being done which keeps fans watching. It’s an unexpected mixture of characters which does make it quite original in its own.

The only trouble with the video is that it is quite unrelated to the actual lyrics ,which were written after Nic had an experience with a girl at some bungalow, but that’s not too much of a wrong doing since we can blame that on artistic expression.

It’s colourful, entertaining and simple: all things Al Bairre is great at being.
