Reimagined Live
The majority of acts who performed at this years Back To The City Festival did so with the support of backing tracks. While the format of the festival may not lend itself to fully live performances, the use of backing tracks is a staple in hip-hop.
Zakifo Music Festival saw ByLwansta once again flip the script with a major label budget. The indie artist took the opportunity to create an immersive live experience for his first billing as part of the main event at Zakifo Music Festival. Joined on stage by the talented Byron Thambu on the drums, Jaedon Daniel on the keys and Giyani Shangase on bass, ByLwansta reimagined his entire set with live instrumentation and no backing tracks.
The video is a mini-documentary which features rehearsals in the run-up to the event and raw footage from the performance at View at Twenty5.
