The Courtyard Sessions with Ruby Gill

Ease into the weekend with The Courtyard Sessions.

Trio and Openroom have teamed up to bring you The Courtyard Sessions. Ambience, exclusivity and intimacy are the key ingredients here. Situated in a private courtyard behind Trio and Openroom in Greenside, The Courtyard Sessions cultivates an atmosphere similar to that of an alternative hangout in Europe.

The Courtyard Sessions are known for a diverse and energised mood, creating the perfect space to support young musicians or discovering the next big thing. The Courtyard Sessions gives you the prime chance to discover new bands in an intimate setting.

The idea behind these sessions is to showcase up-and-coming musicians before they potentially go on to become South Africa’s next big thing.

Ruby Gill will be gracing us with her unique presence on Friday 4 March 2016. Hailing all the way from Pietermaritzburg and residing in Johannesburg, Ruby Gill has burst onto the music scene. She has a unique ability to write and perform original material in an absolutely beautiful way. She released her own material at the tender age of 14 which is an accomplishment and her follow-up album To Risk Our Hearts was released in late 2013.

If you haven’t seen Ruby Gill perform before this is definitely an event that cannot be missed. The event will be hosted by one of my favourite MC’s – Catherine Grenfell.

There are only 50 tickets available which are selling fast, make sure you grab yours before Friday for a total damage of 50 bucks.
