Original Swimming Party release new track off their forthcoming album Hypergiant

‘Skin upon Skin’ – an emotional, sexy, breatheheavy mash up of new African dance grooves with experimental electronica

‘Skin upon Skin’ is a transition from Original Swimming Party’s earlier work. It still very much resonates with their core sound, but has a more weighted traction of electronica. Insisting nerve endings take part in the collaboration of synth and vocality, the diffusion and potential of Ableton Live comes to the surface as Tom Glendinning and Jeremy De Tolly take on the sensory togetherness of their community and emotionally thrive off what is current, what is historic and what is to come – drawing influence from an African tradition of rhythms and harmony merged with elements of leftfield electronica.

‘Skin Upon Skin’ is the second single from their forthcoming album Hypergiant, due out in October 2016. Jeremy describes the track as an emotional, sexy, breatheheavy mash up of new African dance grooves with experimental electronica.

“Its soaring chorus sings a story of loneliness, of being single and never finding love, and somehow finding the light in that.”

This unique sound is emotionally powerful and rhythmically captivating and allows us, as their audience, to really delve into their inner diversions and production by letting it flow through us. One way we can really let it circulate within ourselves and for the better of our neighbours is by not only just consuming their material, but sharing the impact with those who are in the dark about their imprint in the industry- and contributing to their two week Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for their Hypergiant Audio / Visual Tour.

The campaign gives fans an opportunity to be a part of the development of live visual content for the shows, which will be toured in South Africa, before being taken to Europe and North America in November 2016.

The band is rewarding fans who donate with exclusive content, early access album downloads, free access to shows, ringtones designed by the band, beautifully designed merchandise and more. Our personal favourites have to be the personalised phone message tone and the opportunity to feature on their album in the form of backing vocals, hand claps or finger snaps.
