Summer is also the season of music festivals, as thousands of music fans flock to outdoor venues in flip-flops and bathed in sunscreen to see some of their favourite artists, and listen to their favourite genre of music while soaking in the experience. A Place In the Sun is put together by a weighted list of pro organisers: Gareth Wilson, Nicol Van den Berg and Jan Roode of the Good Luck Bar, Catherine Grenfell, previously from 5fm and Dawid and Henk Fourie, promoters of the notorious RAMfest Festival. Apart from providing an endless supply of sunshine and good sounds, festivals are fun, crazy and happy and they create memories you won’t soon forget; if you have never been to a music festival in the warm months, I urge you to attend A Place In The Sun.

The Experience

There is just something about camping on a farm in the middle of nowhere, jamming out to some amazing sounds whilst being with your friends, meeting some friendly, weird strangers and partying till the sun comes up. You get to be part of a new festival to the scene; you will be outside, breathing in fresh air and soaking in an atmosphere that is second to none.
