A Djent Delight
The first international act for Turning Tricks Entertainment Krank’d Up Festival has been announced. Animals As Leaders will be headlining the one-day alternative music event. Fans of the djent style of progressive metal pioneered and developed by the likes or Meshuggah and TesseracT (who recently performed in South Africa) are in for a treat.
Standing at the forefront of the progressive instrumental metal movement, Animals As Leaders will be bringing their much-lauded repertoire to the Krank’d Up stage. Under the leadership of the electronic-guitar wizard, Tosin Abasi, and with four releases under their belt, the band continues to smash boundaries and wow audiences worldwide. The bands released their fourth album, The Madness Of Many, in November 2016. The album which received a favourable rating on Metacritic also peaked at 56 on the Billboard 200 chart.
