‘Sonnova Faith’ comes off his highly anticipated album Introvertigo
Our local blues guitarist virtuoso Dan Patansky has released his new music video for ‘Sonnova Faith’, the latest single from his latest album Introvertigo. The video for ‘Sonnova Faith’ was shot at The Good Luck Bar in Johannesburg and directed by Timo Crane from Mighty Fine Productions.
“Sonnova Faith is a social commentary song for me. It was inspired not just by religion, but by anyone in power. People in power who fool other people. It’s not to offend anyone or any religion, I’ve got no problems with religion, but I got a problem with people that take advantage of their religion or their position of power.” – Dan Patlansky.
The video has a simple concept: a darker portrayed performance of the song complemented by smoke and a silhouette effect creating a heavenly feel, subtly hinting at the subject matter of the song.
