Date With The Night | Sandton Craft Beer Fair 2015
The craft beer scene in Johannesburg is on a mission to educate beer drinkers that micro-breweries are the way forward. Setups like Sandton Craft Beer Festival do not single out the hip from the crowd, but rather embrace the commercial aspect of it. For today, and days to come, craft beer, together with craft goods will be the top of the range for all to consume.
Celebrating its 4th platform, the festival delivers artisan food vendors, premium pale ales, ciders and beers, and local bands to accompany the experience. Expect to share taste encounters with strangers and group cheers with friends.
Local greats on tap will be favourites such as Jack Black, CBC Brewing Co, Dragon Ginger Beer, Citizen, Aces Brew Works , Devils Peak , Brickfields, Swagga, Copperlake, Soweto Gold, Striped House and Mogallywood. So don’t be tempted to stay in your comfort zone and pick up another Castle Light, try something new. There is also an acoustic line-up consisting of Dave Ferguson, Tidal Waves, Lone Raynger and Hells Cats.
Sandton Craft Beer Festival is located at Sandton Sports Club between 11am and 10pm.
Remember that drinking in the sun leads to people passing out and bad sunburn patterns. Look after yourself, stay hydrated and call an uber.
